Subject: Remembering
This is NOT dig on anyone REPEAT NOT a dig on anyone who reads this or on the band itself. All that said. I just can't get into these shows at all. Having been to so many real Dead shows and JGB shows too, this one is missing what I loved most Jerry. The 1 highlight for me and the few friends I use to tour with back in early 1981 threw 1989 was the Loser and Chris singing it the old fashion way with sweet Sue....zy. Other then that it was just a chance to hang with old crowd and talk about old times.

Subject: Phil + Oakdale Theater = Unbelievable Music
My favorite highlights are from the first set. The Jams in Pride of Cucamonga and China Cat were spectacular. The energy at the show after China Cat was unbelievable. The second set was spectacular and the encore was a disappointing way to end the show.
I canÂt wait for NYC shows and hope that this band sticks around for a few tours.

Subject: THANKS Tony S.
This is a pretty good sounding recording. There is some minor crowd chatter here + there but nothing obnoxious or 'in your face' woo-hooing.
I was going to finish downloading a different Phil show when I saw this show had been posted. The Chevy (formally Oakdale Thtr) is about 30 mins down the road from me and I didn't even realize Phil was playing there. So coming across a pretty decent recording (I've heard the tapers section at this venue isn't exactly the best area) of this show made my whole night. It was definitely worth the download.
THANKS AGAIN TONY!
